Of the Flightless and the Flutter

This was for March's monthly challenge on named "Of the Flightless and Flutter". The challenge was...

"A three peice Spring Break mini collection that must contain - beach wear, casual wear and semi formal dinner wear. Feel free to choose any of the following inspirations for your work but both parts must be present in the collection, though not necessarily together in each design.

I chose the "Black Sumatra Rooster & Goliath Birdwing Butterfly" for my inspiration. If you were wondering what the Rooster and Butterfly looked like, they are included in the drawing! I'm so happy how these turned out since it was hard to do and I probably couldn't have gotten some of the ideas if someone (whom I shall name Ada-kun!) hadn't of given me them! >xD Here's a more detailed description of each garments worn by my Japanese OC (& occasionaly model) Koi, from left to right. :3

Beach Wear ; Black bikini (strappless top) with white feather prints in a line along the top. From the bikini top sheer flowy pieces of fabric drape from the front, around the sides and to the back. Attatched to the bikini bottoms a sheer skirt made from a single piece of frabric hangs. Two larger pieces of fabric hang at the back from a bow, slightly resembling wings. Casual and comfortable sandles are includded as long with accessories such has a white butterfly hair clip and a rooster feathered necklace...

Casual Wear ; Fluffy and soft black boob tube with three butterfly buttons. The boob tube has decorative straps (three per side) decorated with small butterfly buckles. She wears an elastic bubble skirt that adjusts with movement for comfort. The skirt had belt loops and is coloured with the main colours of the butterflies wings! On her right leg is cropped mesh edged with feathered band. Platform wedge shoes with butterfly buckles on the straps. Accessories include a feradora decoraed with feathers and red spots and a small feathered purse...

Semi Formal Dinner Wear ; A light lime green cocktail dress framed with sequins (mized shades of green) along the top and bottom edges of the dress. The dress it's self is decorated with butterfly patterns along the waist all the way around, climbing up slightly towards the right. A few lone butterflies with decorated stitching are included below the waist. The right corner of the dress is decorated with a feathery bow. Koi is also wearing feathered black ankle boots (one with another bow like the one on the dress attached). On her neck is a lovely butterfly choker...
